Silly Sam

You can see in this picture Sam's top gums are swollen he fell and broke the little tendon in between his front two teeth. It made him so angry for almost 2 weeks. In this picture he was finally eating well again and feeling much better.

Hailey has recently decided she loves to take pictures. So with our permission she has taken lots of funny photos. Here are a few.

I made this vinyl for my kitchen, I love it! I'll have to take pictures of the other vinyl I have made. It is so fun. I love love love it!

Easter Guns

We started out with a clue in one of Audrey's egg. It lead all of the kids on a scavenger hunt. All around the house we ran and ran. Until they got to the dryer and inside was hiding these fun Nerf guns. We had a blast, literally, shooting each other. The rules, no shooting anyone without a gun and no shooting in the face.

We got the kids Nerf guns instead of new clothes for Easter this year. They have had lots of fun with them. I got to have my first Nerf battle. Max's gun beats everyone's. He loves it! Sam loves his too. He holds it up and says, "piew piew," in a tiny baby voice. I'll have to get it on video.

Easter

I see all my kids together and then I think that is a lot of kids. I love my lots of kids. :)
Eggtails

I get hairstyles from a few blogs. One had this hair do she called it eggtails. I thought it was hilarious, so we decided to give it a try. I did an egg for each of the girls too. Audrey's is suppose to look like a nest. We did a nice dinner at the church with the Bair's. The kids were able to run and play in the gym it was great! Sunday we did a yummy dinner with Printy's. After dinner we did an easter egg hunt for the kids in the front and for the adults in the back yard. Matt and Sarah were sneaky and put money in the adults eggs. Good times were had by all.

Dance

Our girls are really enjoying their dance classes. We take them to Wasatch Arts Studio. Here are the photos with their costumes. I was really impressed with the photographer, she accidentally didn't do one shoot of Audrey, because Hailey looks just like her. So she talked to me on the phone until we got it sorted out. She was really nice and did a great job with the photos and retouching. I was impressed. I guess after working with the Bairs, the best photographers in the world in my opinion, I thought I'd be disappointed with anyone else.

Bairs at the zoo.

We were able to get discount tickets to the zoo for a day. So we went. I was able to talk Chris into taking the day off and joining me. Sam has been before but not old enough to enjoy anything. This time he really enjoyed everything he saw. He pointed at everything. It was super cute! It is too bad we couldn't take Audrey, Hailey, and Kate, but they needed to be at school. Here are a few pictures.

Mini Mall finished

Audrey and Hailey's Mini Mall was a great success. I would have to say this was the most fun they have had on a school project. They loved it so much they worked on their projects every day after school with out being asked. I could not believe how many hair bows and bands they made. The Mall was on April 1st and it was spectacular. We invited Grammy Bair and Chris took some time off to come too. The teachers each gave us $50 to spend at the kids' stores. I think we went home with some good stuff too. I was so amazed with the kids' products. It had to be their idea and they had to be able to make it themselves. We saw home made chalk boards, lots of different treats, balloon animals, bracelets, bows, necklaces, and games to play. It was so much fun. Max and Ruth had lots of fun too. Kate was the only one not there (she was in class) so we made sure that we got her lots of fun things.
Hailey made hair bands with ribbons tied to them. Hers took considerable time to tie each of the ribbons to the bands. Audrey made flower hair clips. She stayed home 2 days sick from school so she worked on them all day those 2 days she made 99.

Audrey

Audrey is our social butterfly. She loves to be in the conversation. She can make friends easily and is fun to be around. Audrey has been trying her hardest to run with the boys at school. The class she is in run's laps every day and she has developed a love for running. Chris and I are trying to get in shape so we can run with them this summer. Audrey is a good worker. When she wants to, she really can be disciplined to get the job done, she wants to help help help. She also does a thorough job. I can say, "put your mom eyes on," and she (or I) won't be able to find very much left she hasn't already done. I love you Audrey Girl.

Hailey

Hailey is my most creative bug. We all love to create, but Hailey drops everything at an opportunity to make something pretty. Hailey is also great with little kids. She sees what they need and helps them. She will read to kids and play with them at a level they will understand. She can be very compassionate and kind. She is a good friend to her siblings. Love ya Hailey.

Audrey has made a break through.

Audrey realized this week that if she starts her chores in the morning before school and gets them mostly done she can play after school. I have been so impressed with her this week. She has loaded a wash load in the morning and folded one batch, then after school she just has one batch to fold, then sweep and she's done. Plus she has been putting all of the laundry away. Hopefully it will stick (at least for a while). Great job Audrey girl!

I'm blogging from my phone

I just found this on my phone and
Wanted to try it.

The Mini Mall projects are taking shape. The girls and I worked almost all day Saturday and Yesterday for 2 hours. We glued flowers tied ribbon and man it was fun. An assignment to do crafts. What could be better. I'll have pictures soon they are dying to show their teacher Mrs. Vietti. I told them we can email the pictures to her. :) Fun stuff.

Mini Mall

Audrey and Hailey are working on a project for school they are going to make a product and sell it at a Mini Mall. They just got this assignment yesterday and already have plans. I've been working on invoices of how much Mall Money I will charge them for product and consulting help. But they make the products by themselves. I can't tell you how excited I am to craft with my kids. I know they won't make things perfect but they always surprise me at how well they can take on complicated projects. Audrey has chosen to make flower clips. Hailey is tying ribbon onto elastics, they made those in Activity days. Simple and fun. We'll see how they turn out. I'm off to clean my scrapbook room so they will have a place to craft. They are so excited about this project I'll get some good chores done today when they get home in anticipation of crafting all day tomorrow. :) Fun fun fun.

Blogging in the New year.

So It has been a really long time since I blogged. It just seems silly since it takes more work and time to post than facebook. Of course I don't sit on my blog and read forever so maybe it is about the same. They are both time wasters if you sit at the computer too long. Well I'm going to post for my mom and some day she'll comment. :)

Ruth

Ruth is so fun. She wanders around the house singing and dancing all day. She has a great imagination. She is quite determined when she puts he mind to something. Ruth is all girl, and pretty princess as much as possible. It is so fun to spend time with Ruth, she is a little giggly girl who has something funny to say all the time. Her good mood is so contagious when you talk with her you always go away happier. We love our Ruthie.

Max

Max is a happy boy. He is full of energy. He likes playing with playdough, cars and especially tools. When we pulled up the floor to put laminate in he was with me as much as possible hammering and pulling up the old floor. He loves to take things apart, some day he'll be able to put them back together again. Max loves school. He also loves his brother Sam. Sam laughs and laughs at Max. They will be great friends when Sam gets older. Max always has a smile on his face, sometimes mischievous but always happy. We love our all boy, Max.

Kate

A couple of weeks ago Royce was so kind to take portraits of my beautiful kids. I thought since Chris already posted them on facebook instead of taking the time to repost them all again. I'd just post each kid and then say some things about each one of them. It is nice to spend time with each child to get to know them better. Here is your turn to get to know Kate.

Kate is a peacemaker in our home. She is flexible and can get along with everyone. She is in 1st grade and is really enjoying being at all day school. She is making friends in her class, and really loves her teacher. With her kind happy attitude she loves everyone. She is doing well reading. She still gets frustrated with sounding some things out but has improved a lot since school started. All it takes is practice practice practice. She is doing well at memorizing things too, her part for the primary program is already memorized and she has memorized her 1-10 math facts. I love that Kate girl. :)

Sam Sam Sam

We are truly enjoying out little Sam, who wont be little for too long. He is standing next to everything and even standing by himself for a minute or so. He is such a fun guy to have in our home.

One more thing on an unrelated note. I helped in my girls' classes today it was awesome. In Kate's class I put together folders with paper and talked to one of the other parents. It feels great to finally know a few of the kids that Kate talks about. Hopefully I can help more often and get to know them by name. In Audrey and Hailey's class I got to help with story problems; which have always been difficult to me. I sat and waited for their teacher to explain how to do them. Then 2 kids came over to me and I helped them to figure out the problems. I'm not sure I could have showed the kids what to do if I hadn't seen the teacher explain it. Thankfully I was there for that. It was funny because the 2 kids and I were really moving on the problems and more kids appeared asking for help on multiple problems. Some how I was able to explain it to all of them. Soon it was time for them to go run and I left. I cannot tell you how fun it was. Maybe because I was figuring out something that was always hard for me. I left on such a natural high. I decided it would be good for me to go through grade school again when I can pay close attention and retain more knowledge. I guess I will be challenged enough helping my kids through school. It has been fun learning things again with them.

Curlformers

I found these fabulous new curlers called curlformers. They make beautiful curls. Plus they are super fun. My kids love to play with them. I put them in my hair and they turned out great too. You can find some cheaper on ebay. I want to buy another box I can't put curlformers in all 4 girls hair at the same time. Here are photos of Hailey and Kate's hair. Super cute.

Girls and their curls.

I'm thinking I love doing the girls hair curly. It is adorable. They may not like to sleep in curlers but look how cute it turns out.

Greetings from Alaska.

Grammy and Grandpa went on a trip to Alaska. While they were gone they sent us postcards; it was so fun to read what Samuel's said.
