Mini Mall finished

Audrey and Hailey's Mini Mall was a great success. I would have to say this was the most fun they have had on a school project. They loved it so much they worked on their projects every day after school with out being asked. I could not believe how many hair bows and bands they made. The Mall was on April 1st and it was spectacular. We invited Grammy Bair and Chris took some time off to come too. The teachers each gave us $50 to spend at the kids' stores. I think we went home with some good stuff too. I was so amazed with the kids' products. It had to be their idea and they had to be able to make it themselves. We saw home made chalk boards, lots of different treats, balloon animals, bracelets, bows, necklaces, and games to play. It was so much fun. Max and Ruth had lots of fun too. Kate was the only one not there (she was in class) so we made sure that we got her lots of fun things.
Hailey made hair bands with ribbons tied to them. Hers took considerable time to tie each of the ribbons to the bands. Audrey made flower hair clips. She stayed home 2 days sick from school so she worked on them all day those 2 days she made 99.

Audrey

Audrey is our social butterfly. She loves to be in the conversation. She can make friends easily and is fun to be around. Audrey has been trying her hardest to run with the boys at school. The class she is in run's laps every day and she has developed a love for running. Chris and I are trying to get in shape so we can run with them this summer. Audrey is a good worker. When she wants to, she really can be disciplined to get the job done, she wants to help help help. She also does a thorough job. I can say, "put your mom eyes on," and she (or I) won't be able to find very much left she hasn't already done. I love you Audrey Girl.

Hailey

Hailey is my most creative bug. We all love to create, but Hailey drops everything at an opportunity to make something pretty. Hailey is also great with little kids. She sees what they need and helps them. She will read to kids and play with them at a level they will understand. She can be very compassionate and kind. She is a good friend to her siblings. Love ya Hailey.

Audrey has made a break through.

Audrey realized this week that if she starts her chores in the morning before school and gets them mostly done she can play after school. I have been so impressed with her this week. She has loaded a wash load in the morning and folded one batch, then after school she just has one batch to fold, then sweep and she's done. Plus she has been putting all of the laundry away. Hopefully it will stick (at least for a while). Great job Audrey girl!
