Count your many blessings.
Hailey went to school today. She is looking fine, and acting perfectly happy. To see her you wouldn't have ever had any idea she was in the hospital a couple of days ago. I'm so happy! It is so nice to get back home, eat dinner as a family, and fold laundry. Through this little scary experience, I have had a lot of quiet time to reflect. How blessed we are. We are really healthy, we have a house, clothes, two vehicles. We are so spoiled with temporal things. We have the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I would be so lost without our faith. We went to a church meeting while we were at the hospital. I was so touched by the spirit that day. I was amazed looking around that room seeing the parents hang on to the Lord. A lot of people were crying, including me. I was so impressed that there was a branch there for the families, who so needed the Lords love at that time.

We're home!
We were able to leave the hospital yesterday morning. We arrived home at lunch time. Hailey still has a good day of sleeping to do to catch up on the sleep she lost. She'll be going back to school tomorrow. I'll post a photo as soon as I get one.

Hailey update.
Today Hailey can open her eye almost completely. She is bouncing off the walls like a happy 7 year old. She is really enjoying her royal treatment. She enjoys the slushies, room service and nurses care. She has just switched over to oral antibiotics instead of iv antibiotics. Hopefully we'll be headed home tomorrow. I'm not sue when she will be able to go back to school though. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I'll post a photo when we get home.

Hailey in the Hospital
Hailey had what we thought was pink eye on Thursday. Chris took her to the after hours clinic and they prescribed some eye drops and told us to keep her home from school.

This is what she looked like on Friday - we were giving her the eye drops and didn't think much more of it. On Saturday it had started swelling shut. Chris had to go help some people move and when he got back I needed to go to a baby shower. I took Audrey with me and Chris took Hailey and the rest of the kids to the after hours clinic. After waiting 1 1/2 - 2 hours the doctor came in looked at Hailey and said "whoah - um, you need to take her to the emergency room. Without even needing to really test anything I'd say she has Orbital Cellulitis. You should take her to Primary Children's." So... Chris called me (I was on my way back from the shower) and took the rest of the kids home and I took Hailey to the ER. Chris took the other kids to the park and they had pizza (it was a really warm "sunshiney" day) then they went home and Holly & Steve came over and helped him clean the house.

Meanwhile "back at the ranch" Hailey and I went to the ER, and waited for a while. Chris had given me his laptop so we watched some movies. Eventually they gave Hailey a CT scan and hooked her up to an IV so they could give her antibiotics. It looks like she has PERIorbital Cellulitis which is an infection in the areas in front of the socket and ir much better! The CT scan was to make sure the infection wasn't back behind the eye and going down the optic nerve to the brain - that can cause menengitis.
Tawnya and LeRoyne came and brought me some food and books plus Hailey's Teddy Bear. Chris and Steve came and brought me some essentials, plus my MP3 player and a fresh laptop with more movies.
As of this morning Hailey's eye is a bit better and we went to church at the hospital.

He's a strong handsome boy.

I got this shirt and tie set at walmart for $7 a few weeks ago. I can't find little boy ties. Do boys not wear ties. The only ties I've been able to find that fit him are the ones that come with the shirts. So if anyone finds boys ties anywhere please let me know. I think Max needs to start looking better at church. Not just a polo shirt and dark pants. Also a funny thing about this photo, he is crazy about flexing his muscles. He walks around all day saying he is strong and flexing for us. It is hilarious. Love ya Max.

Gifts from Hawaii

Grammy and Grandpa came home from a trip to Hawaii. They brought us lovely gifts. The kids were so excited. In fact Audrey and Hailey really really wanted to bring their leighs to school to show their classes. So I wrote a note to each of their teachers and asked if they could bring the items and write a report about Hawaii. The teachers said they could so we wrote reports and sent them to school with their new treasures. Thanks Grammy and Grandpa. We all learned a little more about Hawaii.

Layout exchange.

Here are some photos of a few of the layouts I received at LeRoyne's layout exchange. Mine was the slanted ribbon one. Kellenes was the bright colored one. Holly's was the Snow Fun one. Cami W. was the Adventure one. I'm excited to put photos on them. We received 4 more I just didn't take photos of them. I'll take photos when I put pictures on them.

Happy Valentine's day Chris (AKA Poopy).

Here is a Valentine that goes out to the love of my life. Chris, I love you. You work so hard to bring home the bacon, so I can stay home with the kids. You always put me and the kids first before you get to things you want to do. You mean the world to me. I'm so happy that we were able to be sealed in the temple for time and all eternity. I want to be with you, every day, forever. Hopefully in heaven I won't be so grouchy. :) Love you. The reason I didn't just email you this note is because I want the world to know what a wonderful, handsome husband I have. So they all can be jealous of me. :)

Audrey lost a tooth.

Here is a follow up of Kate's birthday. We made rice crispies to have instead of cake. Which we all liked much better than cake. Kate got a new outfit and a princess paper doll set. We didn't go out to dinner like usual, but she picked her dinner and I can't remember what we ate. Over all I think she had a pretty good birthday.

Happy Birthday Kate! Five on the fifth.

Today is Kate's 5th birthday. She is getting so big. I can't believe she is 5. She is so helpful, and she has her own style. We love to have Kate and Mommy time while Max and Ruth nap when Audrey and Hailey are at school. Today I think we'll fold laundry and pick up, so we can have a great family party tonight. She'll pick her favorite dinner and we'll make it together, she loves to help me cook. I love you Kate, happy birthday!
